The Reuleaux Machine is a simple mechanical object that converts one type of motion into another type of motion. In the case of this machine, rotation of the short arm causes the slider on the long arm to move smoothly back and forth within the annulus.

For this project, my task was to visually observe the Reuleaux Machine (below) and then use Solidworks to recreate a representation of it. I created each part from scratch in Solidworks, made photorealistic renderings of the assembly, and even experimented with creating animations of the device within Solidworks (video below). This was one of my first Solidworks models.
